The group behind the Women’s March on Washington in protest of Donald Trump’s presidency announced this week that it will hold a general strike on Wednesday, March 8.
In social media posts, the Women’s March group announced the “General Strike: A day without a woman” will take place on International Women’s Day.

Hundreds of thousands of protesters had gathered in cities across the world on Jan. 21 to march in protest of Trump on his first full day in office.
The Women’s March group is now organizing in local communities to keep people involved in politics.
