Editorial Board:
Women Chapter English welcomes writers, activists, researchers, storytellers—and anyone who has a story that deserves to be heard.
We are interested in personal narratives, essays, commentary, analysis, interviews and stories exploring women’s lives, gender equality, human rights, freedom of expression, violence and discrimination, migration, identity, sexuality, culture and social justice.
You do not have to be an established writer.
Some of the most powerful writing begins with lived experience: something witnessed, survived, questioned, resisted or simply understood differently from the way society expects us to understand it.
Women Chapter was created as a space where such voices could speak without asking permission.
We particularly welcome perspectives that are overlooked by mainstream media and voices from communities that are frequently spoken about but are given too little space to speak for themselves.
We welcome contributions from Bangladesh and from around the world.
Women Chapter English believes that stories can cross borders—and that when women and marginalised voices tell their own stories, they do more than document their lives. They challenge silence.
