International Women’s Day marks as an important day for every woman all around the world. This year, after #MeToo and #TimesUp, the theme has been set to be #PressForProgress in order to press for gender quality and gender parity in every aspect of the society.
Bearing the significance of this year’s theme of the International Women’s Day, AIM Initiative Foundation; a volunteering organization of Dhaka, Bangladesh, contributed to the social campaign with their young, vibrant and independent volunteers along by sharing their respected perspectives about gender equality, parity, women safety and women empowerment in an inspirational video. They included the pre-primary students of their free school- “AIM School” in the video which provided a fresh vibe to the overall presentation of the theme #PressForProgress.
According to the World Economic Forum’s 2017 Global Gender Gap Report, the gender parity is over 200 years away, which makes this kind of initiatives more important now more than ever to establish the importance of global activities encouraging and ensuring gender equality and women empowerment.
Good news is that all around the world, not only women, men are also coming forward in establishing equal opportunities for women in all the fields possible. Being a strong believer in gender equality, AIM Initiative Foundation stood its ground by their video entitling “International Women’s Day Through our Eyes”!
